The Black Walnut Café takes the top spot on our list because they deserve it. They’re open every day from 7am to 3pm, serving up phenomenal breakfast and lunch options. Not only is their food fresh and tasty, but they also make a great spot for birthdays and other celebrations.

McKenzie’s Barbecue
Next up on our list is McKenzie’s Barbecue. With wood-fire pits, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and incredible sauces, you really can’t go wrong. Plus, their menu is affordable, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun. For melt-in-your-mouth barbecue, definitely go to McKenzies!

The Whistle Stop Café
The Whistle Stop Café couldn’t be overlooked as one of our favorite restaurants in Conroe. They have a wonderful staff that makes you feel welcome, and a great wine list. Plus, they serve up some of the best catfish and coconut cream pie you’ll ever have. It’s a cozy, family-friendly restaurant that’s oh, so great!

Pie In The Sky Pie Co
We had to mention at least one place for sweet treats! The Pie in the Sky definitely has some of the best pies in Conroe, but they also serve really tasty chicken and tuna salads. It’s a cute, home-style cafe that’s worth every penny.

El Fogon The Kitchen Grill Restaurant
El Fogon is a Latin American restaurant with dishes like fish tacos, jambalaya pasta, burgers, ribs, and – of course – great beer and tequila! Aside from the great food and drinks, their customer service is also spot on. If you want something Mexican, classic, and cozy, this is the restaurant to eat at.
