Conroe Christmas Celebration
The Conroe Christmas Celebration is taking place this week on December 14th, from 11am to 4pm in Heritage Place. It’s free to get in and is sure to be a fun, family-friendly activity. There will be face painting, train rides, and a petting zoo. There will also be a nativity scene. Not to mention, there will be two real snow hills on site! That way you don’t have to miss out on sledding down some hills this holiday season.
Camp Quality Texas Rodeo
If you’d like to put your money to a good cause this season, come on out for the 2019 Camp Quality Texas Rodeo, where money is fundraised to help support those with childhood cancer. It’s officially a Childhood Cancer Awareness Rodeo that takes place on December 14th from 6pm to 10pm at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center. The money raised is used to support children with cancer and their families, and also helps to provide a one-week camping experience for those affected families. This fundraiser is in its 7th year, and it continues to get better every year.
Christmas Boat Parade of Lights
This year, the Christmas Boat Parade of Lights on Lake Conroe takes place on Saturday, December 14th, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. The boats on Lake Conroe are decked out in bright, festive lights. It’s the best way to celebrate and welcome in the holiday season! It’s an occasion for the whole family to enjoy, and is open to both Conroe residents but also any visitors who are interested! Some businesses from town will also join in the festivities.
This ‘Paint & Sip’ class from Conroe’s ‘Painting with a Twist’ studio encourages you to drink wine while participating in this step-by-step process to a beautiful, holiday-themed painting. You bring your own drink and then get to work painting an ‘Illuminated Christmas’ that you can take home and set up on your wall right next to your holiday wreath. Anyone ages 16 and over is welcome, although it’s encouraged to have at least some previous painting experience. No one under the age of 21 is allowed to consume alcohol on the premises, and all guests must have paid. So, you can’t just attend the class for free if you aren’t planning on drinking.
