Every Wednesday we will be sharing information with you about wine, what it is, how it is made and the different types. So, what is wine? Wine is an alcoholic beverage made with the fermented juice of grapes. All wines fall within 5 major categories; Red, White, Sparkling, Fortified and Aromatized. There are over 1,300 different grapes used to make wine but only about 100 of these make up 75% of the world’s vineyards. The most popular red wine in the world is Cabernet Sauvignon, which we will be covering next week!
