Wine Wednesday #5: Pinot Grigio

Drink Guides

Time for a super refreshing white wine, Pinot Grigio (or Pinot Gris depending on if you are from France or not) A super crisp, light and zesty white wine made popular out of the Veneto region of Northern Italy, Pinot Grigio brings big fresh citrus flavor to the table that’s sure to wow anyone. Pinot Grigios pair wonderfully with fresh seafood, chicken, salads and white pastas.

Pinot Grigio tends to be everyone’s “first white wine” and a lot of people tend to look at is as the “go-to” wine because of that. Its approachability and neutral acidity make it so pleasurable to drink in any occasion. I like to drink when I’m outside of a cool summer day, grilling up some seafood or shrimp with my friends and looking to have something that isn’t heavy and can be enjoyed ice cold. Pinot Grigio’s really fit the bill for that. So grab a bottle of Ecco Domani at our stores and taste some of the best values Italy can offer. Cheers!
